    http://www.nps.gov/acad/serc.htm

NEPARC is an active, diverse, and inclusive partnership dedicated to the conservation of amphibians, reptiles, and turtles and their habitats throughout northeastern North America. Annual meetings are an ideal forum to share current research and conservation initiatives, participate in working group sessions, and to network with like-minded herpetological enthusiasts in the Northeast.

Oral presentations will be approximately 20 minutes in total length (including time for questions). A special poster session and social will be held to facilitate the sharing of ideas and interactions among attendees and presenters. Presentations by students (graduate and undergraduate) are encouraged.

Presentations are invited on all topics related to reptile and amphibian conservation, and are especially solicited for the following topics:

Vernal Pools of the Northeastern North America – Biology, Conservation, and Policy
Other High Priority Herpetofauna Habitats of Northeastern North America
Climate Change: Implications for Northeastern North American Herpetofauna and their Habitats
Disease and Malformation of Northeastern North American Herpetofauna

Due to the structure of the meeting (including working group sessions), there are few speaker slots available and some oral presentations may be asked to consider a poster presentation.

Meeting registration fees are low to encourage participation by all new and existing members of the NEPARC community and will be discounted 50% for any accepted oral presentations. The registration fee schedule follows and includes all meals for both days. Please register for the annual meeting soon at

    Regional Herp Symp - Fla
    3/26/2010 - 3/27/2010
    ANNUAL REGIONAL HERPETOLOGY SYMPOSIUM SCHEDULED

The longest running regional herpetology symposium in the United States is returning to the Paramount Plaza Hotel and Suites Conference Center in Gainesville, Florida, and is currently accepting abstracts for posters and talks. The 33rd Annual Herpetology Conference will take place on 26-27 March 2010. This year a special session is being planned to address the important and complex issues currently facing Florida’s herpetological community such as invasive species, but all herpetology related topics will be considered for other sessions. The Herpetology Conference provides a relaxed atmosphere and a unique and inexpensive opportunity to network with others interested in crocodilians, turtles, reptiles and amphibians. The conference philosophy is to bring together all phases of herpetology and from these interactions be more effective in advancing the importance and understanding of crocodilians, turtles, reptiles and amphibians. It is also a great place for students to present their research.

Deadline for Abstracts is January 11, 2010.

Please see attached PDF for information on submitting your abstract.
